- Really, what I need isn't culturally specific, but more along the lines of what a couple of my characters might see now in the way of businesses along Church Street at the site of the destroyed towers, where they might go for coffee, etc, and where a young college student attending Brooklyn College might live and travel off campus. I just need a little current background for setting.

- Yes, I remember reading about that a couple months back, and it's something we read about all too often. So, sad.
But, yes, I was hoping you lived in the city, particularly lower Manhattan and/or Brooklyn so I could pick your brain about what day-to-day life is like there now. My novel in progress has a couple of chapters set there and first-hand info would sure help.
See what kind of friend I am? I've only known you for about an hour and I'm already angling. I'm shameless!

- Yes, this is funny! My last name being what it is, I'm all too familiar with being lost in the shuffle of yet another Jones. Before I contacted you, I knew it was a long shot that you'd be the same Ms. Young, but I figured, "What the heck!"
Even though you aren't her, it wasn't a wasted effort in the least. Now I've got a new friend, and one can never have too many friends, right? Of course I've added you, and I look forward to whatever the association may bring.

Carrol Bond has been banned. Thanks for the heads up! You aren't the only one to complain. It's hard to catch these clowns because membership is open but once they start their nefarious ways I need to kick them out asap. So thanks again and anytime you see something suspicious let me know.

- Michelle, I once had a professional association with a woman named Michelle Young about 15 years ago. This was in the San Fernando Valley, CA, where she operated a writing/editing service. She also taught at Rancho San Antonio. I'm wondering if you are the same person.
