Sherefe is still alive and kicking! In fact, every fourth Thursday they have a wonderful specialty menu and live belly dancing by a lovely troupe of dancers from Fayetteville. It's always packed, so it's advised to make reservations. There are two choices; 6:00pm or 8:00pm. The performances are at 7:00pm and 9:00pm.

It's a lot of fun and the food is great. They make everything from scratch, except the pita. Trust me though, it is so fresh and nummy. Make sure to wave at the chefs in the back and praise Mustafa, the owner. They love to have their ego's stroked! Hahaha...

I worked in Fayetteburg (as you know, an inside joke) for a number of years with Caskie Paper Company before it was bought out by International Paper Company. Those are fairly common grounds for me.

If you enjoy Meditteranean fare, Sherefe's, 3608 Ramsey St, is fabulous. The dolma, hummus and Greek salad will rock a vegetarian's pallet and the meat dishes are simply delish.
