In January 2007, I started Red Bird Editorial as a way to draw on a decade of experience creating editorial and marketing content for corporations, publications and not-for-profits.
Today, whether I'm building a social media plan for a small business, writing an article for a national magazine or creating web content, I offer up big ideas and tell amazing stories.
I have always been a writer. The first story I remember writing was about a rabbit called Rosie—I have grown professionally since then. I began my career in marketing, went to graduate school, moved into publishing, went back to marketing and then got into social media.
Red Bird Editorial is my chance to combine all of these kinds of work. I love my job and bring excitement, creativity and professionalism to everything I do.
Other things to know about me:
* I used to be Libby Ellis but got married to a guy named Erik Lowe—he's pretty great so I changed my name
* I love Elvis and went to Graceland for my 30th birthday
* I don't usually cook foods that can't be stir-fried and am especially fond of a dish I call "tofu, Rooster sauce and whatever green things are in the fridge"
* I can't do math unless I am playing Hearts—then I am capable of counting cards and scoring each hand in my head
* I like magazines with one-word titles like Wired and Good
* I pronounce the word "drawer" like this "draw." Blame my parents—they are both from Maine
