- I graduated from Ohio University with a BSEd in 1988. During the 9 years I took to complete my education I also learned the joy and frustrations of being a new mom. After graduation, I was a substitute teacher for about 3 years then took a different direction, working as a lab technician for the next 6 years. After I left that job I became a libraian at a public library. I love books but working with the public in the capacity of a branch manager was stressful. Give me the reference section, PLEASE! Anyway, I left that job after 2 1/2 years. I decided I would concentrate on writing. In the interim, I also worked as a horseback riding instructor/barn staff/horse trainer at a facility catering to children. Really loved that job! Horses are my passion! However, times and circumstances change. Now, I am devoting my time, and energies, for the most part, to writing, my two horses, two dogs, cat, and yes, I have a wonderful husband who supports whatever crazy schemes I come up with.
