About Me:
I was hired by Gibson Greeting Cards at age 17 as a freelance trainee. I've continued working as a freelance writer in this field for over 30 years.
I have sales to or projects with: Gibson, MorningStar Publications, Dayspring, Warner Press, Currents, Broderbund Software (authored 25 of their text-included greeting cards in their first Print Shop Deluxe with greeting card capabilities), Rockshots, Paramount, Drawing Board, Brandywine Art, Ltd., Snafu Designs, West Graphics, Oatmeal Studios,
I now work as a freelance editor and copy editor for Living Waters Publications, Bridge-Logos Publishers, Sagamore Publishing, LLC., and Strang Communications.
I am also a staff contributor (Maven) for Prevention.Buzz.com, a Prevention Magazine web site.

In my previous life I was a reporter for The Banc One Wire Newsletter, a columnist for The Erie County Reporter, a stringer for The Toledo Blade, the editor of The News Democrat and The Ripley Bee and a freelance contributor to The Brown County Press, and The Cincinnati Enquirer.

My husband, John K. Spicer, and I share our early 18th century farmhouse with John's two sons, and our two weiner dogs, Thumper and Julius, who blog at http://weinerdogsblog.blogspot.com.

I have three daughters and two grandchildren.
