The Bird Lady: An Intermission, Part ThreeYou know, Perseid meteor showers weren’t the only thing I used Enid’s backyard for; I also started gardening there. My first weedy plot gave way to an acre of herbs and vegetables and wildflowers by the time I got stranded in a hundred year-old farmhouse in rural central Ohio. ...I write for the joy of it; anyone reading and enjoying what I've done is just more syrup on my pancakes.
My wife and I are Gypsy Innkeepers, traveling the country as a couple of hospitality Jack Kerouacs. We're at our 17th gig in ten years. We are also nature lovers - bird watchers, star gazers, wildflower sniffers, butterfly chasers, morel mushrooms coveters...
I also play the guitar, write and record my own songs, and photograph nature (mostly wildflowers).
I was a freelance nature columnist during the '90s in Ohio and Indiana, and I've self-published a couple books (with several more on the way).
Currently I am writing a monthly astronomy column for the West Yellowstone News, a weekly paper in West Yellowstone MT.
