Sorry! I chose the wrong person with whom to register that complaint. I love writing, especially free-lancing. But aspiring writers stand out as ideal prey for sundry predators. There are a bizillion traps to snare the unwary.

Other than the hard and lonely work of writing for a clearly identified market and getting a check, nearly everything associated with writing is a scam. Wannabe writers need stroking, and many unsavory characters are able and willing to do it.
