- I am Dr. Vandana Pathak, Reader and Head, Dept. of English, L.A.D.& Smt.R.P. College for Women (An 'A' grade College), Nagpur (M.S., India). My academic qualifications are- M.A. (English), M.A. (English Communication), M.A. (Linguistics), B.Ed., M.Phil., and Ph.D.My areas of interest are-Dalit Literature, Black American Literature, Literature of the Marginalized, Comparative Literature and Indian Writing in English, Translation Studies, Stylistics and Linguistics etc. I was the former Co-ordinator of NAAC and IQAC of the College and have edited and published Newsletters and Souvenirs for many NGOs and other organizations. I have two published books to my credit-One on Dalit Literature (a translation from Marathi) and a Co-edited Anthology on Contemporary Female Fiction Writers. I have presented and published many papers in National/ International Seminars and Conferences and Journals. Right now, I am working on three translations from Marathi into English.

I did my Trinity College London Certificate in TESOL Course from Saint George International, London, in October. This is an intensive 4-week Course for teachers wishing to teach English using the most contemporary techniques, much like the PGCTE Course at EFLU, Hyderabad. The Course was really intensive, sometimes stretching to 10 hours a day. For me, it was a great exposure for I got to teach multilingual classes comprising Brazilians and Italians and people from all over using the Task-based approach. I got some great hands-on experience which would help me in researching the area further.
I'm actually the editor of the Journal published by our Department.
