What to do.

I sent an article to a national magazine on January 30th. It was a requested submission, albeit on spec. 30 days went by, and I heard nothing. I sent the editor an email requesting status. No reply. I gave up and sent the article to another magazine that pays less, and pay on publication. They accepted it. Today I received an email from the editor I originally submitted the article to, offering twice the money the other magazine pays. What would you do? Ask me and I will tell all.
