I am a professional writer/editor with more than 20 years of experience in both print and online media. My work has appeared in numerous publications, including the Washington Post, Vegetarian Times, The Examiner, and Ladies Home Journal. And I have written 34 cookbooks.
I have also worked on staff in publishing for several years, holding numerous positions, including as the food editor for Vegetarian Times magazine; as a section editor for a community newspaper, responsible for assigning, writing, and editing articles and paginating my section; and as an editor for various American Red Cross projects, including the original Child Care Course and the HIV/AIDS newsletter.
Although health and food have been my major areas of interest, I have also tackled subjects as diverse as sculpture in Thailand, soaring college costs in the United States, and interior decorators on Long Island. Since I often work on multiple assignments and projects, I can handle tasks and deadlines easily. I certainly work well without outside direction.
