Animal Crackers: Fantasy/Sci Fi Writer's Group

This is a place for writers to share their work with fellow writers. Though I focus on cheesy vampire romance with a splash of fantasy for background, I don't see why we can't make this a generic fantasy/science fiction arena.

I sent you an invitation to friend me in case you want to send me some stuff privately to my inbox.

Time is really on your side. I would love to read some of your stuff, and don't worry about being young. I got my first rejection letter, and there have been many over the years, when I was twelve.

Ha ha it's fine, I always misspell words accedentally. Yeah, I would love to read some of your work, if you'll read mine. I'm quite young, so I haven't got a steady job in the writing field yet--really I don't have a job, period, but I'm still in high school so I believe that time is on my side. yes, but I would like to read some of your poetry or fiction, whichever you want to give out. I'd like some opinions on my work as well, since I'm kind of stuck anyways :).

Well, that's non-fiction. It's 1 a.m., so my typing is a little off.

Hi, Allison. I write fiction, mostly Sci-fi, but some poetry and children's fantasy. I also do none fiction for hire, that's where I make my money. But, I do want to get feedback on some of my fiction because I would like to get away from the technical work.

Well I'd love to help you also in any way I can. What do you write?

Hello fellow writers. I hope I can contribute to the group as well as get feedback.

Trust me no one in the Animal Crackers forum will steal your work...including me. It is already a headache for us, trying to revise and structure our own work; so taking on another's vision would be truly catastrophic lol. Relax Alis...the first step to this writing process is faith--not in hope but in action. When you say that you never had anyone read your work...don't believe that deception. Just look at us as teachers which we are, who are willing to read and critique your work. And I know you had teachers read your work. I know you will be fine. =)

Also I need your confirmation that you will not steal any of my work. Just in case, I mean, none of it is really that good but just in case I see something that others don't, I will need your promise, pleeaaasseee? ha ha. Ok thanks
Alison Evangeline Penvellyn Comment by Alison Evangeline Penvellyn on August 14, 2009 at 7:00pm
Ok I will definitely do that. Although, I am a bit nervous to send it because I'v never actually had ANYONE read my work...EVER. For me, it's like building a house from my own design and then inviting a realtor in to critique my effort on the house's work. It's sort of like putting/ writing down thoughts your too scared to actually say otherwise, and then having someone read those thoughts and tell me what's wrong with them lol. But please give me any and all criticism you can come up with. Thanks I'll send them as soon as I send this comment.
