On the Q and A
at Sunoasis.com a freelance writer wrote and asked "Is there a point when an editor isn’t just asking for a "revision," but an entirely new article? In order to comply with my editor’s "suggestions," I am not even working off of my existing article. I basically hit the "new" button on word, and am starting from scratch. If I’m lucky, some paragraphs or sentences from my old version can be cut-and-pasted into my new one."
That should be covered in the contract but if other writers have experience with this or can shine some light please do.
At the very least this writer should be able to approach the client and have a discussion about it.
